Ralph Steadman created the art represented in many of Gonzo’s images: the cigarette holder, aviator shades and quintessential bucket hats. His style is ubiquitous and easily recognizable. Seen the flick: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas? Steadman characterized Johnny Depp’s role of the Doctor on paper. Needless to say, the two men became close- if one can describe a relationship with Hunter with such intimacy. Buy it and read it to connect the references made in his other films or literature!
